OH MAN I LIKE IT

The "box" motif is lovely - and since we're putting the Jam kit in a box, we can totally reuse this for all the future Jam events. I would...

  • change the large top centered heading, "Pilot in A Box" to "Grassroots Jam New York", with a much smaller (1/3 - 1/4 the size) italic row of text underneath it saying "Help us build a Pilot in A Box kit"

  • delete the second instance of large text "Pilot In A Box" (on the bottom right-ish)

  • Remove the two XO-dude logos on the bottom-left and right - the idea is cool, I wonder if we can find a different place for them that doesn't unbalance the composition as much? done Maybe have one of them (whichever you deem the most relevant) springing from the "box" at top, tilted a little askew, layered on top of the blurring OLPC logo.
    • 1/2 Done. Decide mostlys in the next draft Doing minimum now. I think that using the XO guy is an either/or with the current four panel blur thing. Either do him and books or do the logo, not both. Check out current version with heading. Seth 14:52, 31 May 2008 (EDT)
  • I love the two-column layout. Can the text columns be made more even/rectangular? (Basically, ignore my random insertion of newlines in the text and let it flow into the layout.)
    • Not done, I did remove your newlines. The text is right adjusted, which is causing it to look so disjointed. Would you like it to be more square? Simple stylistic choice, decide. Seth 14:52, 31 May 2008 (EDT)

  • Leave the bottom 150px or so empty (bump the bottom of the text up so that it clears the area where the heads of the XO-guys are now) so we can put sponsor logos there, in general
