Bought a OLPC XO in December 2008 in the 2nd Buy One / Get One promotion.

Set it up at work (SolutionsIQ.com) to see what the computer geeks there though about such a new device. The general comment was cute!

Could not connect to the WiFi at the office, it is security by obscurity (unbroadcasted ESSID), when I got home I had to unsecure my WiFi (Apple Time Capsule) to get on the net, then I was able to connect and download the OS upgrade to 8.2. Which the new look and feel of 8.2 is much nicer. I love the circle of activities around the XO child icon! Ben playing all weekend with the XO and it is a lot of fun.

Will take it back to work now that I've downloaded lots of activities and see what the geek squad thinks about a computer for a 6 yr old!
