Empowering the Next Generation of Local Conservation Stakeholders in northern Republic of Congo

Project Objectives:
1. Establish a laptop lending library in the newly constructed Ndoki Education Center, which has the aim of creating a cooperative learning environment for local persons of all backgrounds;
2. Empower local conservation stakeholders by increasing their access to information and technology;
3. Promote development of citizen scientist observation projects using XO laptops;
4. Encourage learning activities and laptop projects outside of the classroom which stimulate interest in lifetime learning and active involvement in local conservation issues;
5. Facilitate the connection of local stakeholders with the global conservation community.
