Hi, my name is Michele Trickey. I will be a third-year student next fall at Yale University, and I am studying physics because I like mathematics and I love finding out how the world works. I want to use physics to help people figure out how the earth's climate works. For example, there's a weather pattern called El Nino that causes places to have too little or too much rain. I want to help find out if we can predict that. If we can, what do we do about it?
I also love finding out how people work, which is why I'm studying Spanish and Russian. There are people all over the world, and learning each other's languages is a great way to learn about how people in different places live and what their books and newspapers are about! It's really interesting to see how different Spanish stories are from English stories are from Russian stories. They're all funny in different ways.

Hola, me llamo Michele Trickey. El año próximo yo seré una estudiante del tercer año en la Universidad de Yale. Estudio la física porque me gusta la matemática y me encanta enterarme de cómo funciona el mundo. Quiero usar la física para ayudar a la gente a averiguar cómo funciona el clima del mundo. Por ejemplo, hay un patrón del tiempo que se llama El Niño que hace que algunos lugares tienen demasiada o muy poca lluvia. Yo quiero averiguar si podemos predecir eso. Si podemos, ¿qué podemos hacer en cuanto a eso?
También me gusta enterarme de cómo son la gente de varios países, y por eso yo estudio español y ruso. Hay gente por todas partes, ¡y aprender su idioma es un manera genial de aprender cómo ellos viven y sobre qué son sus libros y periódicos! Es muy interesante ver qué distintos son los cuentos en español, en inglés, y en ruso. Sus sentidos de humor son muy distintos.

Привет. Меня зовут Мишель Трики. В следуюшем году я буду студенткой на третьем курсе в Йельском Университете. Я изучаю физику потому, что мне нравится математика и мне очен нравится узнать как работает земля. Я хочу исползиват физику, чтобы понять, как работает погода. Например, есть образ пагоды, которово зовут Эл Нинё и делает чтобы у разных мест есть слишком много или мало дошдя. Я хочу узнать если мы можем предсказать это. Если да, можно сделать что-то полезное той информатзией?
Мне тоже нравится заниматься жузнью разных людьми, и по этому я изучаю и русский, и испанский. Есть люди всюду, и изучать их языки – это хорошо, чтобы узнать как они жувуть и о том их книги и газети. Мне интересно видеть разници между сказками по-английски, по-испански, и по-русски. У всех разных чувства юмора.
