Bluetooth is a wireless local network used by keyboards, mice, speakers, headsets, mobile phones, and other devices.
Bluetooth is available on the XO-4 built-in.
- our GNOME desktop does not have the usual Bluetooth panel icon for scan and pairing, but this can be added;
yum install -y gnome-bluetooth
- Sugar does not have Bluetooth scan and pairing support.
The firmware of the XO-4 includes a Bluetooth pairing test which is used during manufacturing.
- A Nintendo Wii Remote Plus can be paired with an XO-4, giving access to keys, accelerometer, gyroscope, rumble motor, speaker, and the IR dot position camera.
- A USB bluetooth adapter may be installed inside an XO-1, using a hardware customisation procedure that has not been tested by OLPC.
