- ask the owner to follow your instructions for collecting, (which you can do by referring to the page, or by attaching the file to your mail and making a copy of the instructions),
- wait for them to send you the file,
- open ,
- check that the third number is a correct year, and if not see Fix_clock for other things to worry about,
- treat the first number as a serial number and the second as UUID, and enter them on OLPC Activation Service, and follow the instructions there to generate a developer key,
- send the instructions for unlocking, file to the owner, asking them to follow your
