This page is intended to walk people through creating an XO testbed for hardware/software testing. It is incomplete- please add your notes and ideas. Mchua

[edit] Set up

  • Get a power strip and plug all your XOs in.
  • Set up your XOs on a table/counter/shelf. Make sure all the screens are visible, and (if applicable) the keyboards are accessible.
  • Prepare an Activated upgrade USB key(s) for the software (firmware, build, and Activities) you're testing. Systematically reflash every XO and verify the software version.

  • Perform the test as documented.

Follow the instructions on Testing and Friends in Testing for reporting results, logs, and bugs you found.
