We are looking for software that will allow us to create sub-dumps of a mediawiki database containing all the articles that match arbitrary criteria.
This is actually a metafilter project that should be able to accept and combine different filter "plugins" that other people can write. For instance, someone can write a filter that will accept all pages with more than N edits, or one that will grab the newest M pages; a clear API for implementing filters (and instructions on developing them, and links to existing filters) should be provided.
