[edit] Acerca del proyecto Ceibal
El Proyecto Ceibal es la contraparte uruguaya del Proyecto One Laptop Per Child: www.ceibal.edu.uy
El nombre “Ceibal” fue elegido por lo que tiene de simbólico para los uruguayos el árbol del ceibo, la flor, el conjunto de los ceibos a lo largo de nuestros ríos interiores. Fue transformado en una sigla: “Conectividad Educativa de Informática Básica para el Aprendizaje en Línea”. Esto quiere decir una computadora para cada niño.

“Fotoaventura”: nuevo juego didáctico e interactivo del Plan Ceibal El Ministerio de Turismo y Deporte, presentó el videojuego educativo FotoAventura, que busca promocionar la actividad de ecoturismo, aportando contenidos al Plan Ceibal y desarrollando una herramienta didáctica de promoción del Uruguay Natural. Se trata de un juego especialmente realizado para ejecutarse desde las máquinas XO del Plan Ceibal y también, compatible con otras plataformas.
