Student locker
The idea of lockers is not common in many places... besides, what good would the laptops be locked away?
Still, an idea to explore :) --Xavi 11:02, 19 June 2007 (EDT)
- Yes, obviously the same connectors could lead to the desks instead of some lockers and would allow to recharge the laptops in school while being used. Lockers were a silly variant but I proposed to attract college students (in German "locken") further down the page. --Fasten 15:05, 23 June 2007 (EDT)
- Connect sister schools all over the world
- Teach the children how to go into business together
I went to visit the Zeum (San Francisco children's museum) with my loaned laptop, and got a great reception from children, parents, and staff alike. I will talk to them about a regular program of visits. I would like to see a few hundred or thousand XOs saved out of this year's production to seed to this and other children's museums around the country, including the San Francisco Exploratorium and the Indianapolis Children's Museum, which I visited when my children were of that age. We can train a corps of children to demonstrate the XO to adults.
I also plan to work with a local daycare center and Girl Scout Troop to do much the same, and propose a Children's Room to conferences such as Linux World and others in Free Software, education, and whatever else is appropriate. We would probably have to keep the children off the show floor. Too enthusiastic, you know.--Mokurai 17:26, 13 August 2007 (EDT) (moved contribution to talk page --Fasten 15:52, 16 August 2007 (EDT))
- I added a link to Earth Treasury to the "See also" section. That is probably what you primarily intended to do? --Fasten 16:36, 16 August 2007 (EDT)
