Al, I'm not so great at python myself. I'm trying to document enough stuff that I could develop the OLPC utilities that I want myself (in Python). That said, if you have specific questions, ask me and I'll try and hunt down an answer for you. Keep in mind, I'm just an anonymous contributor myself. I'm conversant with C, but I'm really interested in understanding the mesh, the journal, and what configurations a user might want to change. -Jeff 12:13, 12 March 2007 (EDT)

Icon for Tuxpaint
I'm on it :) First version (and it's sugarized, so you can try it on Sugar):
Or we could go trying to stick tux in there:
Allright :) I've improved it, to make it a full penguin holding a brush. I had to put the paintbrush on his other hand, so its shape is distinguished enough to show the activity has to do with painting.
- I've updated the Activities wiki page, with a png icon for tuxpaint to match the other ones, hope you don't mind. There will be plenty of time to test the icon in real-world laptops, and this is the easy part. Now your part is to do the porting and integration :)HoboPrimate 01:05, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
What does this last one makes you think? Does it represent the child's activity with Tuxpaint (in concept)? I prefer this last one.
I missed it... guess I was just looking too hard for vandalism and failed to notice it. Thanks for noting it! :) --Xavi 14:27, 7 October 2007 (EDT)

Child Friendly Mouse Modifications
I have reviewed the changes you have made to the Child Friendly Mouse page. I’m interested to know why you have removed the contributors section and how you have determined the mouse has the problems you have listed. -- Josh 18:54, 11 November 2007 (GMT)
TuxPaint and core activities
TuxPaint could certainly become more widely distributed, if it were slimmed down and used aspects of our system better. Some particularly useful changes : make it smaller (33M is big!), and able to mesh / collaborate on a canvas; make the menus use more of the sugar visual design, with tabs and buttons along the top. And upload your lateset bundles to the wiki so people can comment directly on individual revisions... Cheers, --Sj leave me a message 12:34, 8 January 2008 (EST)
Hi Albert, thanks for your word list suggestions for talkntype. The software is currently set up so that the word lists are just a series of text files (four text files, of varying difficulty), with each word seperated by a comma. The lists currently in use are the same as the original Speak&Spell lists, but I'd really like to do a "1000 most frequently used English words" list too... --Tomhannen 05:14, 9 January 2008 (EST)
