XOs are regularly demonstrated or on display at conferences and other events.

If you are going to be at a conference with your XO, and are willing to show it off and let others play with it for a while, please add the event details below. If you are giving a full-fledged demonstration of some number of XOs at an event, please note it below in bold. If you or someone you know is attending or hosting an event and wants to include an XO display [but doesn't have one], please leave details in the second list.

Presentation Slides

You may need to provide some audiences with an introductory presentation to explain the concepts behind this project. Here are a couple of presentations that you may find useful. We need a solid presentation for software and hardware developers.

  • OLPC Nepal OLPC Nepal uses this presentation to promote OLPC. It is geared towards a Ministry of Education. Please note that it comes with a talking script.
  • OLPC Colombia Presentation in Spanish
  • Python User's Group Developer Relations Presentation to large Python user's group in Toronto, Canada. English, 46 slides, approximately 30 minutes speaking time.
  • University of Toronto Systems Group slightly more refined version of the previous presentation including images from OLPC Nepal and OLPC Columbia presentations. English, 60 slides, approximately 40 minutes speaking time.
