Abstract

With all of the advances in Science today, the computer has become an irreplaceable laboratory tool. I would like to develop both the software and hardware needed to make the XO a power utility in the laboratory/field environment. The goal is to allow for the XO to be able to measure and record numerous values including Temperature, dB, V, i, cd, etc. and to perform some basic signal and image processing. With the combination of software and self constructed hardware, it is hoped that more children will have access to the necessary tools in today's sciences.
