Random thoughts -
Very glad I'm a G1G1 donor both years, love playing with the XO's and knowing a child out there is doing the same thing.
Learning Linux is not very easy for an old man. Computers in general with all their code is learning a second language, difficult to do at later middle age.
I love the fact that the OLPC people are doing software (activities) that are outside the box. What I mean is , usually typical Windows software falls into a few themes, music or picture manipulation software, games ( multi-player fantasy, rote educational ) , security/file utils.
Have successfully burned a live Sugar CD to play with. Also managed to put Teapots Ubuntu (intrepid) on sd card and have a dual boot XO. Just goes to say I can follow directions, I am so far away from understanding what is happening inside the machine..........
