The Africa Education Initiative is a decade-long presidential initiative of the Bush administration, which pairs historically black colleges in the United States with countries in Africa, engaging the colleges to create primary and secondary school textbooks for those countries.

Almost every country in Africa is involved with some part of the project -- primarily the textbook initiative or a scholarship program for girls.
