Indian education minister

Indian education minister criticism regarding OLPC It would be impossible to justify an expenditure of this scale on a debatable scheme when public funds continue to be in inadequate supply for well-established needs listed in different policy documents...

Possible solution

Run a double blind test where children from a developing country that don't have access to school, clothes and other schooling needs addressed would be divided into two groups. One to receive a batch of laptops and internet connection. Also a mentor would be available on-line at agreed tuition time. The others would receive a teacher and supplies at the same cost. If run correctly (without corruption involved) the result might show the advantages of OLPC. The cost could be covered by a country that currently criticises OLPC project, in this manner.
