We are all conscious of the environment an any laptop rollout program should also include and "end of life" plan. ie, what do we do with the laptops when they begin to fail after 5 or more years.
Although the laptop is environmentally more friendly than any other laptop, we still do not want to see them filling up landfill or littering the streets.
Suggestions include a bounty for return or even a replacement laptop (assuming that by then, the laptop will cost only US $75)
Local stripping down and recovery/recycling of valuable material should be considered.
