The Pepper Pad 3 is a portable device with 7-inch screen powered by a GEODE processor running Linux 2.6. This device would be useful to application developers who wish to gain more experience with portable devices which have limited power and memory. If you develop a Python application and successfully usage test it on a Pepper Pad then you are less likely to run into platform issues on the OLPC. Because this is an x86-based Linux machine you should be able to not only set up the OLPC Python Environment but also install the full Sugar platform.

The Sharp Zaurus is a similar, though smaller, portable Linux platform.
