This is a form that Review squad members can use to review content for the XO. All the information in this form is optional except for your OLPC wiki username and the content you are reviewing (the first two questions). To apply, email your responses to the "Basic information" questions to Mel Chua and she'll get back to you within 48 hours with further instructions.

If you are under 18, make sure your parents are okay with you joining the Review squad before sending in your application. If you have any questions, read the main Review squad page or contact Mel Chua.

The rest of the review can be written as you like; think of the movie and book reviews you see in newspapers, or what you would tell a friend if they asked you about it. A few suggestions are below, but you don't have to stick to them; feel free to make up your own format.

Some suggested questions to answer

• Write a short description/summary of the material you reviewed.

• Would you recommend this material to another student?

• If yes, what kinds of students would you recommend this material to and why?
• If no, why not?
• Who would you not recommend this material to?

• How easy or hard was it to install? (All the set-up work you had to do before you could use an activity - for instance, downloading a picture, finding and loading a book, or installing and opening a game).

• How could we make it easier to install?

• How easy or hard was it to figure out how to use the material? (For example, playing the music, figuring out the commands to a game.)

• How could we make it easier to use?
• Were there instructions?

• How easy or hard was it to use the instructions?
• Is there any way we could make it easier to use without instructions? (We are trying to make materials that you do not have to read instructions for.)

• Were you able to use this material to make something of your own? (For example, a new music composition, a piece of writing, a game level, a presentation or activity you organized with your friends.)

• What did you make?
• How did you make it?

• Is this material you would share and use with other people (siblings, parents, teachers, classmates, friends)?
• Did you get to talk to the developers who made this material?

• If yes, how easy was it for you to talk with them?
• If no, would you like to?

• Would you use (read, play with, etc.) this material again?

• Why or why not?

• Are there any other materials you would use this material with? (Is there a sequel to the story, a picture that reminds you of the painting you're looking at, a harder game you can play once you have mastered this one?)

• Take pictures or write a story about how you used this material.
• Write instructions or tips for other students who will use this material.
