project and OLPC Health

Hope your project is coming along well. We should have a conference call sometime to discuss if and how more volunteers can get involved in the project...thanks. --Arjs 13:02, 8 March 2008 (EST)

HIV

I thought the topic of HIV/AIDS probably merited it's own page, so I created a stub for HIV with a redirect to it from AIDS. I moved some links from a page that needs to merged away and created a link to it from Health content. Please feel free to flesh out the HIV page. Cjl 16:30, 9 March 2008 (EDT)

great mozambique update

We just had a lovely lady named Delisle join the office staff, from lesotho. she went to school with a half-portuguese class, apparently... Let me try again to raise the CAA group to see where they're at with their program. You should move the notes on your user page to OLPC Mozambique at some point, noting local points of contact. Cheers, --Sj talk 19:06, 21 March 2008 (EDT)

Literature search

Jumpbean,

I added some additional links to the HIV page. My PhD work was on the molecular biology of viruses, although my paying gig these days is running a small pharma IT shop. My wife is working on her PhD in public health and I wish you all the best with your work, I thought I'd drop a load of PubMed references on you, I hope you find some of them interesting and/or useful. HIV school program links

I just dropped some new links onto the HIV page for some interesting looking school programs in Africa, you should consider clicking the "watch" tab on that page so that you get notified when the page is edited. Cjl 23:30, 3 May 2008 (EDT)

I'd be happy to help in any way I can, my wife Wendy (a medical writer) is working on her PhD in epidemiology / public health and I've got a strong background in Clinical Microbiolgy and virology. Cjl 00:12, 30 May 2008 (EDT)

Updates from CAA

It sounds as though the 200 machines have already shipped to Moz, and the woman who is travelling with them, Rachel, hasn't been in touch with you or with the people on the ground much yet. She'd love to learn more aout what you are doing -- I just have to track down her email and send you both a hello. --Sj talk 12:10, 30 May 2008 (EDT)

SchoolHealth

These may be of some interest. last two are to PDF's of programs that ran in Mozambique.

Fully translated Sugar+most Activities to Portuguese (european)

I've translated to european portuguese, and submitted it, so they will show in newer builds. I've detailed it more at Talk:OLPC_Mozambique. - HoboPrimate 23:45, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
