Yoruba is a language spoken mainly in southwestern Nigeria. It is a tonal language.

The Latin-based orthography includes letters with marks under (usually dots these days, but alternatively small vertical lines) and accents above vowels to indicate tone. It can be typed with some effort on any Linux, but lacks a native keyboard layout (although there have been various keyboard designs proposed).
