It is appropriate to provide lessons for the safe use of the XO and its Peripherals. An extensive set of Safety Certifications have been obtained, and the shutdown screen and product packaging insert include a number of graphic warning or advisory icons. (See the Talk page for some ideas for extending this simple graphic resource to one possible model for reinforcing lessons.)

Certain activities may benefit from special attention to potentially dangerous activities. For example, when exposure to electricity or another physical, chemical, or biological hazard might be anticipated with the Measure Activity, some lessons for safe use for the situation should be provided.

See Impending Ergonomic Disaster ? for some training that should be included at an early opportunity to instill healthy habits for XO users and their teachers. See also some discussion of ergonomics on this Talk page.
