It is being developed and adapted to OLPC:Python by a brazilian team created by LSI (Integrated Systems Laboratory) from USP (São Paulo University).

Is the proposed software using Scaleable Vector Graphics?

JSquiggle is one similar open source solution and there is a proposal for an implementation of Inkscape.
