This is tad ugly right now, but then again this is just a test. (numbers are [inherently] bogus)

• Does 'nigeria-math-1', 'nigeria-math-2', etc, have any advantage over the more explicit page-naming convention 'nigeria_math_k-1'?

  Better to have pages by language and topic. Math-en, Science-en, &c.

• With this scheme the number of pages to maintain may be a bit oppressive and rather redundant across various countries

  Right. We'll want top-level pages for Literacy, Writing, Math, Science, Arts, &c., which will be the primary views. Sj

• try language=English rather than country= (and then perhaps set up a page for Nigeria including the english matrix and adding country-specific notes)

Structure:

• Template:Matrix (contains the list of subject areas)
  • Template:Matrixrow
    • Template:Statusformat (color of numbers)
      • cell status page, eg "Nigeria-math-3-status"

get rid of the status; make Math-en include Math_en_k-1, Math_en_2-3, &c

NB: country should be changed to language
