Waveplace Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Pennsylvania that:

1) raises money to purchase laptops for Caribbean children.

2) creates training materials that teach digital media skills.

3) inspires teachers to use computers in new ways.


Our Pilots:

  • Jan-March 2008 - 20 XOs - Waveplace's first pilot in the US Virgin Islands (Movies include scenes from pilot, student presentations)
  • February-September 2008 - 23 XOs - Waveplace's second pilot in Haiti (Movies) at one of the Mercy and Sharing schools.
  • June-July 2008 - 52 XOs - Waveplace's third pilot in Immokalee, Florida (Movies, NPR story)
  • August-September 2008 - 25 XOs - Waveplace's fourth pilot in Rivas, Nicaragua
