JPEG is a commonly used compression system and bitmap file format for photographic images. JPEG/Exif is the most common image format used by digital cameras and other photographic image capture devices; it is the most common format for storing and transmitting photographic images on the World Wide Web.

JPG is best for photographic images and uses RGB color. It is not suited for printed graphics (i.e. logos).
