Mary Wang is a first year undergraduate student at MIT majoring in Chemical Engineering and Management. At MIT, she works in Professor Ross's Material Science and Engineering Lab and is part of the Undergraduate Association Committee on Sustainability and Sustainability@MIT. She has done research at the Cancer Center at the University of Arizona, Dr. Pinney's Biochemistry Lab at Baylor University, and Dr. Zheng's Inorganic Chemistry Lab at the University of Arizona, work that won second place in the team category at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair of 2008. Mary is passionate about international development, chemistry, and sustainability. She plays the violin and flute, loves literature, and speaks Mandarin Chinese and introductory Spanish and French. She is really excited about this opportunity to go to Mauritania and make a difference. |

He enjoys playing around with computers in his not-so-often spare time and enjoys a good laugh now and then to keep the mood light. |
