OLPC UK has established a 100% volunteer organization and platform to support the deployments of XO computers towards solving defined needs in UK schools paired with schools in developing countries.
OLPC UK has gone from glimmer in the eye of Daniel Drake to a organisation:
- with financial backing for a school pilot
- actively pursuing registered non-profit status in the UK
- with a vibrant online community of OLPC and SugarLabs contributors
- meeting regularly in person
