I am teaching programming, using Processing, to undergraduate students of Game and Interaction Design at HTW Berlin. I'm also finishing my Master's studies at HTW Berlin. As a part of these studies I researched a couple of different programming teaching tools last semester; including Processing and BlueJ. I was looking for a way to continue this work that makes sense. Suddenly I stumbled upon the olpc again.

Why Processing on the XO

Education Is Pippy really a good environment to teach children programming? Is Python as a language suitable to teach children programming?

Production According to the explosion of sales of mobile phones in Africa and other less developed countries, wouldn't it be great to have an IDE to develop mobile applications on the XO?

How the idea of Processing on the XO occurred

I am teaching programming, using Processing, to undergraduate students of Game and Interaction Design at HTW Berlin. I'm also finishing my Master's studies at HTW Berlin. As a part of these studies I researched a couple of different programming teaching tools last semester; including Processing and BlueJ. I was looking for a way to continue this work that makes sense. Suddenly I stumbled upon the olpc again.

Editions

What are the basic System Requirements?

If there is a possibility to run Processing on Sugar needs to be researched. Currently it requires XFCE or Gnome, I'm afraid.
