OLPC India which in plain language would mean One Laptop Per Child in India.This possibility is as good as elimination of poverty from the face of the earth, at least the poverty related to lack of resources for the education.No child in any classroom ,in the world would feel deprived of the technological advancement , enjoyed by the countries with high consumption and high standards of living.

However, it is still not very clear what agencies in India would be actively participating in OLPC project.As per the norm Ministry of Science and Technology might take the initiative, which till now has not issued any notification, and not placed any order with the Quanta Computer Inc., which is the OEM for for the project.
