About Me

My name is Shaksham Thapa. I am eighteen years old and currently live in Lalitpur, Nepal. I completed my A-Level examinations in June this year from Budhanilkantha School in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics and General Paper.   • Successfully completed my S.L.C examinations in 2006 from Budhanilkantha School

Currently involved in:

  • Preparing for deployment in Kapilvastu, a remote district in South Western Nepal, working on site for 6 weeks
  • Working on localizing the Ubuntu Gutsy On OLPC XO for Nepal Deployment
  • Working with other members of OLE Nepal on the NeXS, the nepali customized version of the OLPC XS school server
  • Working on fixing problems of and creating additional features including the Nepali Keyboard on the NeXO, the nepali customized version of Sugar
  • Working Tony Anderson on making the BotSpeak Activity, an activity based on speak, that works as a bot and communicates with the user, replying to simple questions or remembering what the user has asked to reply
