Detailed Description
This feature provides the user interface to the books, audio, and other content in the media feature.
Benefit to XSCD
This feature gives access to additional content.
Scope
The Internet in a Box gives users access to the books in English from E-Pustakalaya, Learn English - Kids from the British Council, Sugar Activities, and audio clips from Old Time Radio and Music collections.
UI Design
The user clicks on the Library icon on the portal. This screen has icons for the various collections. The user clicks on the appropriate icon to access a collection. The next level either shows buttons for items in the collection or buttons for sub-collections. The item screen shows 9 items per screen. The user navigates by the arrow keys to select an item. Clicking on an item causes Browse to download it to the Journal (or for Sugar Activities, install the activity).
How To Test
Verify that the feature works as described in the IIAB step by step slide show.
User Experience
User will be able to select books to be read online or, preferably, downloaded to their XO for offline reading via the Read Activity.
Dependencies
None
Contingency Plan
This feature will not be included in XSCD.
