Deep cycle Bateries
Designed to provide a steady amount of current over a long period of time, achieves this by using thicker plates. Found in boats, golf carts & solar power systems.
Properties of batteries
- Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) - amps that the battery can produce at 0°C
- Reserve Capacity (RC) - minutes that the battery can deliver 25A, voltage > 10.5V
For Deep Cycle batteries, RC is 2-3 times greater than car batteries. 0.5-0.75 of the CCA. Car batteries are not designed to be completely discharged. Deep cycle battery should withstand hundreds of discharge/recharge cycles.
Availability in launch countries
- Brazil (Specially Rural Areas)
- Uruguay (Specially Rural Areas)
- Argentina (Specially Rural Areas)
- Libya
- Nigeria
- Ethiopia
- Pakistan
- Rwanda
Vendors
In this part Should go the different specifications of deep cycle batteries, and also availability in the different countries.
