One Laptop per Child and Intelligent Television are pleased to announce the 2008 Science Video Remix Challenge

A Grand Prize will be provided to the best combination of video archive and short, open to all producers who post five or more hours of free and clear science video. Prizes will also be offered to the best archive and best science video. Winning videos will be featured in OLPC schoool libraries.
The Science Video Remix Competition intends to promote the use of archival scientific video material in classes around the world. The competition encourages innovative producers committed to education to post and share scientific video material suitable for a young audience (8 to 16), and to produce demonstration films 5 to 10 minutes in length from the material. An international panel of judges will award prizes for best video and best contributed archives on April 5, 2008.
Entry deadline
- for contributed archives : February 1, 2008
- for short films : March 14, 2008
Submission details:
Contributed video and films should be uploaded to [the Internet Archive / wikiCommons] (A competition-specific form will be made available). At least 5 hours of video must be contributed by January 10 to be eligible for the grand prize.
