As I understand it, the only Forth being distributed with the XO is the one driving its firmware, but the "Forth for Education" section of this page suggests that Forth could be useful in the user space as well, letting the user learn Forth and write small, fast activities. :[[Mitch Bradley]] and others have suggested enhancing [[Pippy]], an activity for experimenting with [[Python]], so that it works with other languages such as Forth. It is a very low-priority task though, considering all the other work left to do on the software. Userland Forth?
As I understand it, the only Forth being distributed with the XO is the one driving its firmware, but the "Forth for Education" section of this page suggests that Forth could be useful in the user space as well, letting the user learn Forth and write small, fast activities.
