Which KBC chip do you use in OLPC?

Category for Embedded Controler related things

This seems to be missing. As searching the Wiki for "EC" does not to give results this will be helpful. --Frief 08:11, 2 July 2007 (EDT)

EC Register Settings are not complete

The code of the EC accesses some registers which are not mentionend in the data sheet "KB3700 Keyboard Controller Datasheet Revision 0.1 July. 2006" (is http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Image:KB3700-ds-01.pdf the only datasheet publically available? )

Eventually this burns you (I'm not a lawyer). As can be seen from: http://dev.laptop.org/attachment/ticket/1122/ec_vB81.ctl and using the disassembler http://home.pacbell.net/theposts/ there are accesses to xdata addresses which are not mentioned in the data sheet.

It is not clear which EC firmware revision was used and which state the EC was in when the register settings were read. --Frief 08:11, 2 July 2007 (EDT)

Link to KB3700 Header file

a link to a corresponding header file in a source repository would be fine.
