In general, I like this layout a lot. It's worth checking it out on smaller-resolution displays as well, to make sure it wraps or resizes reasonably. |

Overall, I like the design.
One of the big, big functions of the current main page is posting regular updates, little news tidbits, and official statements/releases. It would be nice to keep that, although not necessarily on the page (linking to a dedicated news page would be fine as well), but I think that should be fairly prominent.
