The .xo file is currently missing the Makefile, which is called for from setup.py. This means that 'setup.py dev' does not work. It would also be nice to include the MANIFEST in the bundle as well, so bundles can be regenerated. Thanks! [[User:Wade|wade]] 19:10, 15 May 2008 (EDT)

==== Satellite view? ====

This is a fantastic activity, it's like Google Earth but with reasonable resource requirements! Does it support satellite view? I tried to browse around Peru, but the only city that is mapped is part of Lima, the rest is all blank. Also, it would be 'great' if it could somehow hook into Google Earth's KML database of points of interest, but that might be asking a lot....

I filled in the wiki page based on my standard activity wiki page, Moon. I also added the above feature requests to the main page. Feel free to change it around as you like!

==== New Maps API version ===

Hi, I am interesting in helping with this activity. The Google Maps API is in the process of upgrading to version 3, which is more streamlined for mobile devices and no longer requires a site-specific API key. ( http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/v3/ ). It could run directly from the XO instead of through (your?) server. It's a major change so I'd like to hear your thoughts on it.

Missing files from bundle

The .xo file is currently missing the Makefile, which is called for from setup.py. This means that 'setup.py dev' does not work. It would also be nice to include the MANIFEST in the bundle as well, so bundles can be regenerated. Thanks! wade 19:10, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
