The first thing a potential developer (activity, sugar, XO, otherwise) sees shouldn't be "You should get a developer key."

Maybe a list of projects? Mailing lists? IRC channels?

Initial Remarks

  • This should probably cite Reporting bugs, Developer/Fedora, and some part of Category:Trac.
  • Encouraging people to look for fun people to play with on the profiles page to play with (in addition to adding themselves) seems good too.
  • Way to much detail is spent on developer keys. Simply tell people to request one early so that it will be available when they want it.
