The most common damage to the laptops is torn keyboards. Teachers were "repairing" the keyboards with scotch tape.


One screen has thumb-size groups of dead pixels on either side of the screen. Possibly this was due to squeezing the screen with too much pressure.
Rashmi set out to explore better solutions as outlined in [[Keyboard_field_repairs|keyboard field repairs]].

A few batteries have poor performance.

4-5 laptops suffer very poor wireless reception. Possibly this is due to rough handling of the ear antennas.

Instead of silicone, she tried acrylic paint.
