Does anyone have any ideas for an example where the children are being expressive which would also be a stand-alone program to run on the OLPC laptop? Is KDE an option? The [[OLPC Courseware Review]] says "Note that some of these existing projects may need to be ported in order to be usable. For instance changing the GUI from KDE to GTK.". Suggesting not. Porting is of course often easier said than done. And rarely quick. So, to a first approximation, the answer to this question is also the answer to "Can OLPC use KDE app X?".
