All praise is welcome but this one misses the point. It is true that “computer skills” are becoming increasingly important in the workplace. BUT one laptop per child brings a much bigger benefit: having the computers will improve the way children learn everything else (in most cases even handwriting and hand calculation!)

THE MOST COMMON LICK:

Laptops will make our children the most computer-savvy in the world. When these children grow up every job will require computer skills. Our children will be prepared.


All praise is welcome but this one misses the point. It is true that “computer skills” are becoming increasingly important in the workplace.
