Carla, |

Congratulation for your work. Very inspiring. |

I live in Montreal where where I manage an Internet Marketing Agency. My wife and I have 4 young children. At the begining of my career I worked at Logo Computer systems. We also lived in Rwanda for two years where I opened a Computer School for handicaped children. Finally, two years ago, we went with our family on a trip to South America (Ecuador, Peru, Brasil) where we volunteered for an Education project. Enough about us, I tell you all this to try and introduce our idea to find a way to help with the OLPC project. In 2008, We have decided to spend several months in Asia (India, Cambodia Vietnam). Do you have any idea of how we can start a discussion to collaborate with some project. |
|||
Obviously, I participated in the g1g1 program and I am hoping to get my XO soon. But more importantly, I would like to get in contact with your organization in Asia to identify potential collaboration. |

Thanks in advance for your help. |

== Digital Storytelling work in Hyderabad area == |

Hi Carla, My name is Remy and I'm the co-founder of a digital storytelling project in Hyderabad, India (http://themodernstory.wordpress.com). Along with my partner, Piya, we have set up digital media units (iMac, editing software, video and digital cameras, mic/tripod) at two government schools, one in Hyderabad and one in the rural township of Nalgonda. We finished the first project (Jan - April 2008), and have now grown our project into a Fellowship sending over two teachers from the US to help teach/train students and teachers so they can eventually become a "graduated" school and take on the curriculum and equipment autonomously. We would like to scale our curriculum using the XO laptop as we move into other schools, and we'd love to connect/collaborate with you on your inspiring work in Khairat. Obviously, we have a lot of questions, but we'd love to listen and share. Hope to connect with you soon, |

This info makes me smile. It is great to see opportunity and kindness together. Can any one point out where the solar device is in the picture below which is named 'charging the xo with a solar panel'? Hooray XO!

Digital Storytelling work in Hyderabad area
Hope to connect with you soon,
