I'm a software developer with [http://www.palm.com Palm] living in Austin, Texas. I was one of the software architects on Palm's canceled Foleo program, so I've been watching the OLPC project for a while. I got my XO laptop through the G1G1 program just after Christmas 2007, and I'm really impressed with the hardware, especially the screen and the keyboard. I'm currently getting used to the software environment on the device. As a first project, I'm interested in getting [http://www.fbreader.org FBReader e-book reader] working as a Sugar activity; I'm currently trying to hack on together based on the code for the Opera activity and the FBReader distribution made for Fedora Core 7. |

I'm a software developer with Palm living in Austin, Texas. I was one of the software architects on Palm's canceled Foleo program, so I've been watching the OLPC project for a while. I got my XO laptop through the G1G1 program just after Christmas 2007, and I'm really impressed with the hardware, especially the screen and the keyboard. I'm currently getting used to the software environment on the device. As a first project, I'm interested in getting FBReader e-book reader working as a Sugar activity; I'm currently trying to hack on together based on the code for the Opera activity and the FBReader distribution made for Fedora Core 7.
