Waveplace Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Pennsylvania that:
1) raises money to purchase laptops for Caribbean children.
2) creates training materials that teach digital media skills.
3) inspires teachers to use computers in new ways.
Waveplace is currently conducting a pilot on the island of St John, in the US Virgin Islands. Other pilots are scheduled to start in Haiti, St Vincent, and Immokalee Florida.
They are developing Etoys video tutorials and ultimately an Etoys textbook.
