I've been trying to get an OLPC working with this SIIG 'USB 2.0 to VGA Adaptor' found here <http://www.siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=JU-000071-S1> but haven't had any luck yet. I rebuilt a custom kernel module on an OLPC running Build 703 (stable), however, I believe my USB SVGA adaptor is not compatible because is uses a different driver than this guide was written for. I would like to share my already compiled rpm if it would be useful for someone else trying to do this. It compiled without any fatal errors. I would appreciate it very much if someone with a "compatible adaptor" (according to this wiki) were willing to install it on their own OLPC and see if it works. Thanks! |

The progress made here is great. Has anyone tried using the lower cost USB to VGA device that Magic Control Technology Corp manufacture? It uses a different chip to this one. JoshSeal 21:34, 1 February 2008 (EST)
