Welcome. Our team is applying to send 100 laptops to a school through OLPCorps Africa. We would work closely with the school's director and teachers to choose e-books, learning games, and websites which are good for the students to work with.
If our application is accepted, we will work at the school from June to August. We can help with power and Internet access. When we leave, teachers and students will continue to use the laptops.
Benefits of the Laptop
Our team is interested in working with your school to use these laptops as a new education tool.
These laptops are specially designed to be used in schools:
- Typing, taking photos and video, and using the Internet
- Reading many textbooks, viewing photos and art from around the world
- Students and teachers can write their own computer programs
- The computer weighs as much as a textbook
- The screen is easy to read, inside or outside
- Computers connect to each other or the Internet by WiFi radio
More than 700,000 students around the world are getting these as their first computers.
