Tutorial for Offline Map Activity

Getting Started

  1. Close all activities except the Browse activity. This activity is in development and you may need to reboot.
  2. Download the Offline Map activity from http://haiti.latest.disaster-tool.appspot.com/OfflineMaps-2.xo
  3. Click the icon to run OfflineMaps.
  4. Do not move the mouse. The activity will take some time to load. The loading animation of the cursor may stop for several seconds - as long as it continues to move, the activity is working.

  1. Use the + and - buttons to zoom in and out (magnify, demagnify)
  2. Use the arrow keys to move north, south, east, and west
  3. Double-click to zoom in on an area

  3. A pink marker and some text appears. Click Edit to open your edit menu.
  4. Click Add to finish editing the marker.
  5. You can now click your marker to re-open it, and click X to finish viewing it.
