Resume is what Awaken OLPC when the OLPC in suspend mode, this can happen through several triggers and to test these criteria’s OLPC should keep in suspend mode then after the following actions can be performed.
*Using the terminal activity get a copy of the developer key and save in centralized place.
(1) Laptop lid opens,
*Disable the security
(2) Keyboard keys pressed,
*Download the latest releases of the OS and save it in the USB memory stick
(3) Touchpad motion,
*If the Laptop is XO1.0 download the firmware as well and saves in the USB memory stick. If it is a XO1.5 no need to manually update the firmware; it will automatically update while updating the OS. But the user wants to update it manually, user can do.
(4) Game keys pressed,
*Some of the laptops are installed the OS without disabling the security. Then got stuck (This problem has solved using different way and it has mentioned in the guide document with full details)
(5) Response to incoming TCP/IP packets,
(6) Power button press.

When installing the OS according to the steps that mentioned in the official website, it was not worked. So we had to find proper ways to do the installations


*Issues in updating Activities
*Issues in Activity version
*Functionality of playing audio when power management is on, was not understood properly.
*Screen rotation function in XO 1.5 had issues
*Camera in XO 1.5 had issues.

Installation

How did you do the testing?

  • If the Laptop is XO1.0 download the developer key. If it is XO1.5 no need a developer key
  • Using the terminal activity get a copy of the developer key and save in centralized place.
  • Disable the security
  • Download the latest releases of the OS and save it in the USB memory stick
