I am an OLPC advocate in ways that don't seem to make a huge impact, which I fear reduce me to something of a fanboy, or perhaps just a glorified lurker. I first saw the OLPC protoypes and met OLPC staff in person at NECC 2006. |

I have been an OLPC advocate since I first saw the OLPC protoypes and met OLPC staff in person at NECC 2006. I started shortly thereafter contributing to the work on getting the OLPC dev image working on [http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OS_images_for_emulation#Parallels_Desktop_on_Mac_OS_X Parallels for MacOS X] so I can start working with it myself (and let others do the same). In Fall 2007, after [[User:Mchua|Mel '03]] came back to speak on OLPC at [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illinois_Mathematics_and_Science_Academy IMSA], I became the club sponsor for the IMSA OLPC affiliate and am the in-house advisor for Student Inquiry and Research pursuant to the OLPC project. Who am I?
I have been an OLPC advocate since I first saw the OLPC protoypes and met OLPC staff in person at NECC 2006. I started shortly thereafter contributing to the work on getting the OLPC dev image working on Parallels for MacOS X so I can start working with it myself (and let others do the same). In Fall 2007, after Mel '03 came back to speak on OLPC at IMSA, I became the club sponsor for the IMSA OLPC affiliate and am the in-house advisor for Student Inquiry and Research pursuant to the OLPC project.
